I love using the SPHERO's in my classroom! SPERHO's are engaging, fun and motivate kids to learn coding and robotics.

I created a SPERHO city out of black tablecloth I bought from Sam's Club. The tablecloths come in two pack for like $12. I bought road tape from Wall-Mart for $4 a roll. Then I had the students create the grassy areas, houses, tunnels, and ponds. The nice thing about it being on fabric table cloth is it is more durable and easy to put away, and does not take up a lot of space in your classroom.

I created check list for the students in Numbers. Then I had the students take their SPHERO driving test with partner. The partner used their iPad to record the progress of the SPHERO driving test. If they the driver ran into a house then they lost money. They had to earn $100 in order to have SPHERO Driver's license which gave them free time on their SPHERO.

The kids loved learning to program and drive their SPHERO's through the mini town. We also used an Old TWISTER Game sheet and played modified twister with their SPHERO's.
