Valentine Science

This week I had my primary elementary students (K-2) build with candy conversation hearts. I took pictures, slo-mo videos of the students work. With shorten class time due to Parent-Teacher Conference this was great activity to do in 25 minute class.

Next week I am going to teach the students how to use their Numbers app on our iPads to create graphs depicting how tall each table was able to build their towers.

I saw the the students applying some engineering concepts we have been talking about in class. Yesterday, the 1st graders, did a great job trying to build strong base and then building up their structure from strong base.
